Nursing career
As a Registered Nurse of over 20 years I've had the privilege of a very colourful career in nursing. I've worked in large tertiary hospital emergency departments, dusty station clinics, the back of small planes and everything in between.
Training & special interests
I have completed post graduate study in travel medicine and have qualifications in both personal training and health coaching. I am a member of the Nurses Society of NZ and the Australia and NZ Metabolic and Obesity Surgical Society (ANZMOSS). I have a special interest in obesity and work part time in the bariatric metabolic field as well as in Kawakawa Bay Health Clinic. I love working in small communities and loved the 10 years I spent nursing in rural and remote clinics in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
